**2015 National Pictures of the Year Competition**
« on: December 30, 2015, 05:11 PM »
All,

The 2015 National Pictures of the Year competition's rules and submission guidelines are now posted at the following link:

http://npac.ca/national-pictures-of-the-year-rules-and-submission-guidelines/

Please be reminded the deadline for entries is 11:59 pm January 31, 2016 (PACIFIC TIME). This rule is strictly enforced.

Also, do NOT wait until the last minute to send your entries. NPAC and the NPOY are not responsible for any problems with the NPOY server due to a high volume of traffic or for any other reason if you are unable to upload your entries prior to the deadline. You have 31 days to get them in... I strongly recommend you do it before January 31, 2016.

HIGHLIGHTS

• To enter the NPOY, you must have been an NPAC member in 2015 OR purchase a membership before January 31, 2016.

• Deadline for all entries, except for Student Photographer of the Year, is 11:59PM  (Pacific Standard Time) January 31, 2016.

• Deadline for Student Photographer of the Year entries is 11:59PM (Pacific Standard Time) April 1, 2016. There are no entry fees for this category.

• The National Pictures of the Year fee is $10.00 per entry to a maximum of $150.00 per member. A member can have up to 20 entries plus a Photojournalist of the Year entry for a total of 21 entries at a maximum cost of $150.00.

• All photographs entered must have been made within the 2015 calendar year, with the exception of the Picture Story category and Student Photographer of the Year entries .

• Non-published work is eligible.

• The maximum number of entries for each person is 20 plus one Photojournalist of the Year entry.

• Winners and finalists will be announced at the NPAC 2015 NPOY Awards Ceremony in Toronto on April 23, 2016, during the annual NPAC Photojournalism Conference.
