I'm not endorsing this but just passing on some information:
Sigma Canada is currently running a photo contest open to Canadian residents, over 18 years old, who are enrolled full-time in a university or college photo program. Know anyone who fits this description?
First prize is $3,000 cash (which is a lot for a Canadian photo contest).
Deadline is April 30, 2013.
The only requirement is that the picture must be shot on a Sigma lens (with any brand of camera body).
