good one Andy, I am so beyond shaking my head at the studity of many of those who are in charge of newspapers, (I already shook out all my marbles) it is quite refreshing to see that one small town paper gave some thought to making their paper have a longer shelf life by emphasizing good image play.  Many good simple ideas.  Not rocket science.

I liked reading about this small town newspaper too. I came across this piece on wired.com earlier this week and really enjoyed the photo essays they produce.

Incredibly refreshing. The editorial side of the newspaper industry is almost exclusively run by "word people" with limited understanding or the power of photojournalism. They seem to get design - too much so -  but not the photo side.
