In case you're planning a nice 'staycation' this year, you might want to consider a trip to beautiful Kitimat, BC for the North West Photo Fest coming up:
In August, Kitimat celebrates photography in northwestern British Columbia with an exhibition of work by photographers who live in the region, as well as a day of seminars and workshops we call "North West Photo Fest". The theme of the exhibit at the Kitimat Museum & Archives is 'Why I live here." The exhibit will be at the Museum August 5th to 27th, 2016. The opening reception will be on Friday, August 5th. Workshops and seminars will be at Riverlodge Leisure Centre on Saturday, August 6th. A barbeque for participants will be held at Minette Bay Lodge, Saturday evening.
