So if people going to the conf get into town way early, like a week before, there'a camera show on Sunday 17 in Scarborough. Good place to find shelf queens, film, oddball cameras etc.. Chances of running into other photojournalists is good if that sways you. fwiw, I get all my lens cleaning cloths here, super cheap. buck a cloth. Look hard and there might be a very good book hidden in the piles.
and for those hanging around a few days after the conference, April 24 is worldwide Pinhole Photography Day. As basic as photography gets and good excuse to putz around the city before your flight or rider home. This is probably my favourite pinhole photograph, by Dianne Boss.
