The American Revolution 2.0 - Covid19

Americans are revolting, and it isn't 1776,
the mad King plays both sides.
With gun carrying militia's on the steps of state legislatures,
Angry Americans are on the streets,
No blood has been spilled although many have died.
Many are sick and the numbers rise.
Is the Tea is already in the harbour?

If the American Dream for immigrants is dead,
then The American Way of Life must be near death.
Oil and coal the sad tragedy for the world.

Did the Mad King ,the politics of fear and race,
Twitter, the 24 hour cable news and,
 Saturday Night Live,break democracy?
Had it not been cracked and weakened already?

Did continuous war from granddad's in Korea and Vietnam, the Cold War, Cuba,
fathers, sons and daughters in the Middle East, special forces in Africa,
the millions who were taught to hate, race after race,
they are armed and ready to end it all,
for life in a bunkers scavenging food.
A hard victory of failure of imagination,
In the land of imagination and The Land of the Free.

States opening up on mass, all against the best medical advice.
And the worst political leadership,
all an algorithm now.
The Mad King is washing his hands, soft hands now bleeding from years of  scrubbing.
The pandemic effects disproportionately the working class by race.
Just wait for India, Bangladesh and everywhere there are the poorest of the poor.
They will be moving.
Every aspect of life has a danger of catching a flu, that has not cure.
Business is opening. Schools are opening.
The curve is full, scientist count the sick and the dying.
Churches missed the big Easter payday.
The desperate will take the chance.
The numbers of the desperate are big.
You can't mess with big numbers.

Business cannot stay closed.
And,they cannot be open.
People cannot stay unemployed where healthcare is not universal.
People cannot work ,cannot pay rent, cannot assemble, cannot golf.
It is no longer about beaches, golf, nor going to sporting events, plays
and movies, and getting hair and nails cut.
It is no longer about cruise ships, travel on school break's or party planning.
It is basic. People cannot be with their dying, cannot meet at their funerals.
Adding unimaginable sadness to that thought.
Orders are being rejected, science has spoken.
The state governments are caving.
An still people assemble.

It is Mother's Day,listen to your mother America.
Not only does she stand in New York harbour,
She stands in every home.
She made you, nursed you, cooked and cleaned for you,
she worked several jobs, started and ran business, worked in factories,
high finance and fought in wars.
She loved you.
Listen to your mother.
It was always your mother you listened to.
It was your mother who TOLD you to wash your hands,
and cover your sneeze,
eat everything on your plate,
because people were starving in India, China,or Russia,
She told you to turn off the lights,
conserve water when brushing your teeth,
be safe,
be kind,save,
be loving, be smart,
be a man, be careful,
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Science is just repeating.
Lets have a Happy Mother's Day,
remember your Mother everyday.
