Just a quick heads up to everyone...

The 2015 round of the Canadian Journalism Forum on Violence and Trauma "Forum Freelance Fund" competition will be welcoming applications starting 15 May. Please help spread the word to freelancers about the bursaries to help them get hazardous environment training. Canadian freelancers, other freelancers working abroad for Canadian media or for international media with bureaus in Canada, can all apply. For the fourth year running, the forum is working in co-operation with the Rory Peck Trust.

I went through conflict training in South Africa.  It was only two hours long when I took it, and was mainly learning how to hit the ground and plug bullet holes, but even that was really useful.
