Slate has (re)discovered some test movie footage Kodak ran with prototype Kodachrome in 1922.

The movie flickers cause it was an old hand cranked camera. Also Kodak had not yet mastered fully coating the Kodachrome emulsion on movie film which leads to the "bewitching" effect the writer mentions.
