This might sound like a silly question but I was wondering, if we are having live judging for this year's NPOY, how are the results going to be revealed at the NPAC conference gala? ???

Hey Chris, I believe the live judging will only reveal which photos (top 4 - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, HM) make it to the final round. The placings will be done in secret.

Chris

We're still working out some of the details. Some categories will be revealed and others won't be like photo and the photojournalist of the year.

I think the way that Jimmy has suggested would be best. Let everyone know who the nominees are during live judging, then the big reveal at NPAC conference.

Note a change to the rules from previous years: a Photojournalist of the Year portfolio submission now has 12 images.

Just to clarify:

If you have 15 or more entries, on the Store web page enter "15" in the quantity box. The maximum fee is $150 - don't pay more than that!

Is there a maximum number of entries per category?

I'm having trouble uploading my entry. The first time it stalled at 68%, so I tried again overnight, and it stalled at 76%. I resaved my files with more compression and cut 20 mb out of the .zip, and I'm not trying it for a third time. If it stalls again, I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

*add-on*

Third time got to 100%, but it said 'IO Error - Aspinall_77944798.zip - 100%', so I'm trying for a fourth time. I'm getting a little concerned that my entry will either never go through, or I'll have a bunch of zip files sitting on the server somewhere.

*add-on*

Fourth time stalled at 99%. Thought I was just being impatient, but it sat at 99% for about half an hour with no change. So I stopped it and am now trying a fifth time from a different computer. Stay tuned.

I suspect the server is not really meant for a high volume of simultaneous users. I know that several folks are uploading today.

If that's not the case, maybe the Internet just doesn't like you. Before you started to upload, did you remember to make an offering to St. Isidore?

Fifth time stalled at 95%. Trying sixth attempt. I realize it probably doesn't like a lot of volume, but if that's the case, are others having the same problem? My first two attempts were at about 12:30 am MST today, when I doubt very many were trying to use it. This is getting very frustrating.

Problem solved. I just had to leave home to upload from a faster connection elsewhere. Seven attempts at home failed. The first shot away from home worked. I think I know where the problem was rooted.
