A friend I worked with and giant in photo journalism, AP photographer-editor Horst Faas died today. He will be missed, but never forgotten. Condolences to his family.

I'm sorry to hear it. I remember as a pup calling AP London and getting Horst Faas on the phone....I couldn't beleive it. I was absolutely tongue-tied and floored that I was talking to a legend, especially since I was calling about some dumb routine matter. Over the years we had many a great conversation, but I always carried with me a bit of awe. It never wore off.

Hi Graeme,

kind of like myself when having a conversation with Phillip Jones Griffith.

Never met Horst Faas but a tremendous loss and my condolences :(

Cheers,

Jack
