As it's income tax season, you may be wondering where all your money went:
Using 2011 data, the average full-time photographer in Quebec had an
annual income of $29,300. There's no reason why this number wouldn't apply nationally.
By comparison, from 2014 USA data, the median pay for a US photographer
was $30,490 USD.The average
photographer in France in 2014 *seemed* to have a similar income as those in Canada and the USA.
Also, the Canadian government says that job prospects in this occupation are limited and the number of photographers will decrease significantly in the coming years.
But note that the federal gov't is always behind the times.
Its web site still says photographers shoot film and might then scan that film to a computer.
