It's that time of year again! Now is a good time to review your work from the past year and look for those possible winning photos.
You can start submitting entries to NPAC's 2013 National Pictures of the Year on January 1, 2014.
All the rules, submission guidelines and how to send us your entries will be posted shortly.
This marks the third year we are accepting entries using a digital online entry system only. This means no more burning CDs / DVDs and mailing or sending by courier entries to NPOY organizers.
Besides three cash prizes for each of the categories up for grabs are the following top prizes:
• Photojournalist of the Year: $2,000.00 (sponsored by The Canadian Press)
• Photograph of the Year: $2,000.00 (sponsored by Reuters)
• Student Photographer of the Year: $1,000.00 (sponsored by SAIT)
I'd like to ask NPAC members to remind their colleagues about our annual NPOY and what can be gained by entering images they've captured over the past year. Our competition is Canada's largest and richest program to recognize the work we do and let's all help promote and reward the excellent work being done by Canadian photojournalists around the world.
Deadline for entries is January 31, 2014 so start now to edit your past year's work and prepare you entries! Students have until April 1, 2012 to enter .... for free!
