Inventor of colour digital photography dies
« on: November 29, 2012, 01:07 AM »
Every photographer has heard the phrase "Bayer filter" or "Bayer pattern" which is used to describe virtually all camera sensors.

The man who invented that filter pattern in 1974, a Kodak employee named Bryce Bayer, died two weeks ago, although the news came out just a few days ago.

Fascinating, I had no idea Kodak was behind inventing it and it became their demise.
