The iconic independent bookstore in Mile End, Montreal, for which the Mile End citizens have mobilized, will ultimately not be forced to close shop in July, the trader announced on Monday. Building owner Shiller Lavy reportedly waived significant rent hike and negotiated a mutually acceptable amount with Stephen Welch.
