NEWS PHOTOGRAPHERS ASSOCIATION OF CANADA RECOGNIZES TOP PHOTOJOURNALISTS OF 2013

The News Photographers Association of Canada (NPAC) is pleased to announce the winners of its seventh annual National Pictures of the Year (NPOY) awards competition, held during the National Pictures of the Year Gala event held May 24, 2014, in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Over the past eight years, NPAC and its generous sponsors have awarded over $100,000 in prize money through the NPOY, making it Canada’s most prestigious and richest photojournalism awards program.

The National Pictures Of The Year awards competition was created by NPAC to recognize excellence in Canadian photojournalism. NPAC is a volunteer-run, non-profit association of professional and student photojournalists in Canada. NPAC celebrates and champions quality and ethical photography in journalism.
