1st Speaker announcement, 2017 NPAC Conference in Toronto

 I am very pleased to announce the first speaker at this years NPAC conference in Toronto on May 5& 6.

Katie Orlinsky

Katie Orlinsky is a photographer from New York City. She received a Masters degree in Journalism from Columbia University, and began her career as a photojournalist in Mexico ten years ago. Since then she has photographed all over the world exploring everything from conflict and social issues to unique subcultures. Katie is currently working on a long-term photographic project about climate change in Alaska and the transforming relationship between people, animals and the land. She has received artist grants from the Magnum Foundation, Getty Images, the Howard Buffet Foundation and the Pulitzer Center and photographic awards from institutions such as the Art Director’s Club, PDN30, Visa Pour L’image, Pictures of the Year International, and was recently awarded as the 2016 Paris Match Female Photojournalist of the Year. Katie regularly works with editorial clients such as The New York Times, The New Yorker, National Geographic, and Smithsonian Magazine. She is a represented artist with Levine/Leavitt Agency.
