First - our clear winner. Beautifully light, a clean, balanced composition with multiple layers of interest.
Second - benefits from a tight, creative crop allowing the viewer to focus on the details.
Third - a pretty typical silhouette but nicely-composed.
HM - could have benefited from a cleaner, perhaps tighter, composition.

Multipic

First - Terrific entry with a diverse array of images from the Rio Olympics. Multiple angles, techniques and telling moments make this a clear winner.
Second - Several emotional moments elevated this entry.
Third - A few strong images merited an award, but a couple of others were a bit redundant.
