If you purchased in Canada, between January 1, 2000, and January 1, 2012, a laptop, cellphone, tablet, MP3 player, e-book reader or handheld GPS that used a lithium-ion battery, then you might be able to file a claim in this class action that alleges several lithium battery manufacturers conspired together to price fix.
Before you get excited, if you don’t still have any receipts then you get only $20. But if by chance you have receipts then you might get more depending on what you purchased.
This class action does not appear to include digital cameras.
The other class action on-the-go is the Microsoft class action which expires Sept 23, 2021. This definitely won’t make you rich.
Over the years, I’ve filed claims in a half-dozen class actions and, funny enough, four of them were against Bell. The most I’ve received is about $62 per claim.
