A Look Back – Stacy Kranitz – 2016

An ongoing series of (unedited) videos from NPAC’s annual Photojournalism Conference.

In April 2016, documentary photographer Stacy Kranitz spoke about the (unintentional) harm photojournalists can do when they descend upon a region in crisis.

Kranitz was born in Kentucky, USA, and received a BFA from New York University and an MFA from the University of California, Irvine. Her work has been featured in publications such as Adbusters, Elle, Granta, Mother Jones, New York Times Magazine, Oxford American, Rolling Stone, Vice and Wired. In 2015, Time magazine named her Instagram Photographer of the Year. She is represented by Little Big Man Gallery in Los Angeles.

A Look Back – Anastasia Taylor-Lind 2013

English/Swedish documentary photographer Anastasia Taylor-Lind is based in London and she works on issues relating to women, birth rights, population and war. Her editorial clients include National Geographic Magazine, GEO Germany, Marie Claire, The Sunday Times Magazine, Time, The New York Times and The Telegraph Magazine, among others.

At the 2013 NPAC conference, Taylor-Lind shared a few stories about herself and her career.
