Roger Hallett finds solace in the Pawâtêtân basketball court that opened up last year near River Landing. “It frees me from my stress and anxiety” says Hallett, who has been shooting hoops every day since his wife died. He’s a natural with the ball, having attended the YAS basketball camp for six years, and is excited to get back into the sport. Hallett, who has struggled with homelessness and drug addiction, says he is grateful to have basketball to focus on — It has helped him stay sober for two months.
