US Army flight medic SGT Ian Bugh of the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade prepares for a night mission outside his medevac helicopter at Forward Operating Base Wilson in volatile Zhari District in Kandahar, Afghanistan. This medevac unit is call signed DUSTOFF and dates back to the VIetnam war. This medevac deployment during the Kandahar Offensive would go on to complete almost as many missions as the units that operated in the Vietnam War.
