Personally I love the clip contest,
Each month it forces me to look at the work I've produced.
After the judging is done, I like to see how Mark Blinch shot the same event I was at, only better!
The deadline for the first month of the year is the 15th at midnight!
But I'm sure the clip chair could be pursuaded to extend it for a pint at the conference!

Ha thanks for the kind words Steve.. but you know every day it goes a different way. You get your sharpies in as well man!
Clips is a good way to organize your fav pix.. and plus its a fun to compete. The participants the better.. So enter!

any place where one can compare their work with some top notch pro's like the two above is worth the price of admission alone, great way to always keep learning with a bit of competitiveness, as I just realized i missed the deadline for this month's submissions!!!!

Great point Mark!
Great way to spot and identify images for that end of year blog and contests!
Also all those placing that you get might help you in grant applications or work visas.
Besides, it is free and the images don't have to been published!

Psssst, offer the clips chairs a beer at the conference!
Maybe they can push back the deadline for the first month!

We take bribes...
This is the first month of a new year. This once, I will extend the deadline till midnight of the 19th. For those of you that are new to the process, feel free to contact James or myself for clarity.

BTW - that decision is only for East Clips.

Why is that... are we that much more organized and punctual in the west?

And with that, for the first time ever, my clips are in four days early!

Everybody in the west sent in their clips on time, even those in Sochi. I haven't received your clips yet Walter. We're you planning to submit anything from January? I'll extend the deadline until Friday if there are any others who would like to start participating in the West Clips. Published or not. Student or professionals. It would be great to have some new competitors.
I haven't found judges yet so there is still time to enter. Friday by midnight is the deadline. I can only extend this once.
Thanks.

Thanks Chad,
I was going for humour in my previous post, but I will take advantage of your (one-time only) extended deadline...
