Ten years is a very long time one scribe thought but didn't dare speak out loud. It seems the old journalist did not want to jinx Paul Martin's last budget . . .
;D
It's funny, or maybe it's sad, how many people, and reporters, are fooled by all the government promises that will happen "over the next ten years."
Trudeau promised $20 billion for public transit (over the next ten years) and $11 billion for public housing which when combined with other government funding will be $40 billion (over the next ten years), and he will add another $65 billion to public infrastructure (over the next ten years) . . .
Future promises never arrive because time always moves the goal posts and both the public and news media have short memories.
