Title: Our site is now HTTPS
Post by: Warren Toda on October 12, 2018, 08:33 PM
Our entire site is now fully https (https://npac.ca) and you should see a tiny padlock in your web browser's address bar on almost every page.

The exception will be on some Forum pages where a user's avatar is hosted on a non-https site or they embed pictures or videos from a non-https site. For example, all previous Clip Contest pages have image links using the old http://npac address.  In these cases, your browser might show some kind of "insecure connection" warning, (e.g. in Safari, the padlock disappears; in Firefox, the padlock is grey and shows a tiny yellow triangle with an exclamation mark), but this is harmless.

The only important page that must have https and show the tiny padlock in the address bar is the Store's final Checkout page where you enter your contact and credit card information.

Also, right now, the Freelance Finder isn't loading correctly due to the lack of https on some code. Hopefully this can be fixed with an update from the Blink people.  Seems to be working now but we may want to evaluate the usefulness of this feature.
