Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (Policy) applies to both NPAC members (Member(s)) and general viewers (Viewers) of www.npac.ca (Site). NPAC reserves the right to amend this Policy from time to time.

NPAC does not sell, distribute or otherwise release any personal information to any third party without a Member’s prior expressed consent, except as required by law.

For Members:

NPAC collects personal information when a person registers as a Member. Personal information may include such things as name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, web site url and perhaps some social media addresses.

This information is kept by NPAC and used only to administer the NPAC organization, its activities and this Site.

NPAC may use any personal information to contact a Member, when necessary, for NPAC business.

Personal information that is no longer necessary or relevant for the above purposes, or required by law to be retained, will be destroyed or deleted.

If a person ceases to be a Member, their collected personal information is generally kept for one year before being destroyed or deleted. The reason for this is that about 50% of “expired” Members tend to wait a year before renewing their membership. By keeping their account on file, these Members can continue to use the same account.

Personal information shall be sufficiently accurate, complete and up-to-date as is necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used. NPAC will update personal information about a Member as and when necessary to fulfill the above identified purposes or upon notification by the Member.

NPAC will protect all personal information by security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

When registering or purchasing any item, service or membership directly at this Site, all financial transactions are done through the secure web site of Payfirma. NPAC’s checkout page uses 128-bit encryption to pass the customer’s information to Payfirma. Look for “https” and a lock icon in your web browser’s address bar. NPAC does not receive any personal financial information belonging to a Member but only the name of the credit card used and the last four digits.

All ads on this Site are from reputable and known businesses or organizations. NPAC does not use any automated ad service. Some ads may contain “web beacons” which are used to count or compile non-personal statistics about those who view or click on the ad. Web beacons are used by the advertiser not NPAC. NPAC does not give any personal information to any advertiser.
