A few more conference details have been posted.

The conference will be held in a hospital and the trade show will be at a church. Are you sensing a theme?  :)

Bond Place Hotel:  NPAC reservation link

The venue for the NPOY should be confirmed in a few days.

We're trilled to add Muse Projects to our 2018 NPAC Conference program!

Muse Projects is an arts co-operative that aims to amplify the voices of women in visual storytelling and beyond. Through exhibitions, installations, workshops, speaking and community events, Muse Projects’ goal is to provide a platform for enabling women to disseminate their stories in media and non-traditional platforms.

Updated conference information:

• The conference will be held at an art gallery not a hospital. We've moved up in the world.  :)

• The NPOY Awards Gala will be at the Glenn Gould Studio at CBC headquarters.

• Camera clinics will be provided by Canon and Nikon.

• The Friday 27th photowalk is now Leica Loaner Day. Pick up Leica equipment at the hotel at 11am. And please remember to return it later that night at the Trade Show. (We will be taking names and we know where you live).

We're looking forward to having Matt Frehner and Jason Chiu (Head and Deputy Head, respectively) of the Globe and Mail's Visual Journalism department walk us through how the team works, what stories they’ve told and are working on, and what they’ve got their eyes on.

In February 2018, The Globe and Mail merged its photo, video, design, graphics, data and interactive teams into a single department known as the Visual Journalism team. It’s responsible for the presentation of all Globe journalism on all platforms.

This re-alignment has been part of an overall transformation of the entire newsroom and has led The Globe to become a leader in new approaches to journalism internationally.
