Camera Strap Fittings
« on: November 29, 2016, 10:35 PM »
I've got a really stupid problem.  The original Nikon triangular fitting that attaches the camera strap to the cameras are wearing out on my cameras.  I've replaced them with round keyring fitting, but they're chewing through my camera straps at an alarming rate, and Nikon doesn't seem sell replacements of the original fittings.

Anybody else having similar issues, or have any suggestions?

You can try contacting Jason Payne.

He is the man behind the straps at Burke Mountain Leather and I'm sure he has lots of options.

You have to buy a new camera to get a new neck strap ring.  :)

Are you referring to these: metal triangle part and triangular black plastic thing.

If so, email your mailing address and I'll send you two used ones.  I can also send you a couple of the triangular leather protector things, if you use those.

Try email they are about $25 a pair. Nikon Canada does not sell a lot of replacement part compare to Nikon USA
